Hi, I'm Liam.

Zuboff's three laws are as follows:

  1. Everything that can be automated will be automated.
  2. Everything that can be informated will be informated.
  3. Every digital application that can be used for surveillance and control will be used for surveillance and control...

As a data person, I see these three laws continue to become more relevant with each passing year. I see it as my responsibilty both to automate, as well as ask, "what can be automated?" in this ever-shifting landscape of tools, APIs, cloud computing, and data.

I focused my studies in undergrad at Boston College on artificial intelligence, machine learning, data structures, and data manipulation/analysis.

With the experience I've gained thus far, as well as my own personal pursuits of knowledge, I've realized that I need to be in an environment of like-minded, passionate, driven people.

I'm always open to a conversation, whether it be about design, programming, or the arts.

Skills

I have extensive experience with the below languages, frameworks, and libraries. I love SQL and being able to dive into big datasets. I've begun to learn C# and React as well, but still working on projects to get myself up to par.

About

Since graduating Boston College in 2022, I've furthered my experience in both programming and design through two data-related positions.

First, at Zippin, an AI-based frictionless checkout startup. In my tenure, I sat under the Head of Business Intelligence, working very closely with the executive leadership team to provide standard retail industry metrics, as well as robust data analyses.

Due to a lack of securing funding on time, Zippin was unfortunately forced to make a workforce downsizing in March 2023. In June of 2023, I continued my journey to StoneX, where I sat within the regulatory team, doing SQL data pulls, automating data movements in Azure, and building self-serve reports.

In March of 2024, I made the decision to leave StoneX in pursuit of personal passions. I spent the forthcoming months enhancing my developer skills, practicing painting, and improving my audio engineering abilities.

Now, I am searching for a position wherein I can utilize both my creative side as well as my knowledge of programming and data.
